For more than two decades, Jennifer Sardone-Shiner has enjoyed success as a statewide marketing and public relations expert in Florida, taking a leadership role in civic and charitable organizations and establishing partnerships with businesses, not-for-profits and media outlets. In 2016, after working with such heavyweights as Fantasma Productions and the nationally lauded Maltz Jupiter Theatre, she struck out on her own with JSS Marketing and Public Relations, with a focus on not-for-profit organizations, arts and culture, small business with a concentration on the entertainment industry to include events, concerts and festivals. Ms. Sardone-Shiner offers a full range of experience in public relations and marketing — branding, negotiating, media buys, digital marketing, plus events marketing and promotions. Being a boutique firm allows her to specialize. That specialization means clients get Ms. Sardone-Shiner’s full attention. She and her team are passionate about helping her clients achieve their goals. Ms. Sardone-Shiner first took center stage in the mid-’90s, directing the marketing team at Fantasma Productions, which promoted arena appearances and concerts by the likes of everyone from former President Bill Clinton to Elton John. That gave her the opportunity to learn marketing on a national scale. Stepping back from Fantasma, she decided to go local, assuming direction of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s marketing team, and over the course of 13 years, helped a national brand for the regional theatre. She’s formed decades-long relationships with print, television and radio executives and personalities, and has learned the nuances of the current trend toward social media influencers and digital marketing. Much of that success has to do with trust. Ms. Sardone-Shiner always tries to understand a client’s needs, then overdeliver, thanks to the assistance of her team of three associates, who help clients achieve their goals. The boutique firm gets big results for its clients, which include Palm Beach Dramaworks, The Duncan Theatre, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum and The Armory Art Center.
Ms. Sardone-Shiner was a 2019 graduate of the elite Leadership Palm Beach County program. She currently serves as the marketing chair and board member for the Northern Palm Beach Cultural Alliance; is a former board member of the hYPe — Young Professionals for the Northern Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce; currently a council member for the Women in Business Council; former marketing committee member and member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; member of the Business to Business for Women; member and Public Relations Chair of the Palm Beach County Kappa Delta Sorority Alumnae; former board member of the Palm Beach UCF Alumni Club; active with the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County; and currently an advisory council member of the Boys and Girls Clubs Martin County.
Ms. Sardone-Shiner is passionate about giving back. She has volunteered and raised money for such organizations as Cancer Alliance of Health and Hope, Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Susan G. Komen, Little Smiles, Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Connections Education Center, Jupiter Lighthouse, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Edna Runner Tutorial Center, Boys and Girls Clubs and many others.
Ms. Sardone-Shiner was the (2016) Steering Council Member of the Year as part of the Women in Business for the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce. She earned the title of Volunteer of the Year (2015) from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and received the first ever Young Professional of the Year Award (2014) from the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce. Laura is a native Floridian, who returned home 20 years ago after living in 15 other states in between! Laura attended the University of Memphis on a full academic scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Marketing.
She held Director level positions in Marketing and Sales with Hershey Foods, The Clorox Company, and ATT Wireless. The training she received with these Fortune 500 consumer products companies gave her a solid understanding of Brand Management from the concept development of a product to the delivery to market.
Laura was chosen to work on a special team with Booz Allen Consulting and the executive team of ATT Wireless to develop a 5-year plan for the company. This diverse team let Laura exercise her problem solving and strategic planning skills while learning from the best of the best across industries and around the world.
With over 20 years of Marketing and Sales experience, she launched her own AVEDA company, (division of Este Lauder). She ran it successfully for 15 years, while reaching over 1 million in sales and leading the state in profitability. In 2017 she sold the business.
Laura loves working with business’s to identify opportunities for growth, and developing marketing plans for brand awareness, and loyalty.
In her free time, Laura is a wanna be Sommelier! She writes a Wine Blog “Vine Vibe Uncorked” and writes a monthly wine column that is published in 19 papers around South Florida. This is where her passion was ignited to help clients position themselves in the marketplace. Laura’s personal life brought her back to the east coast, where she spent the next decade in the communications industry working for one of America’s most recognized brands, AT&T. The corporate world gave her world-class training and experience, learning from a company with a strong brand and deep marketing resources. After taking some time off to raise her three children, she rejoined the workforce and followed her passion as Marketing Director for a non-profit organization. Laura then worked for a media company where she consulted clients on branding and marketing strategies to grow their revenue.
